Course prices and fees

Our training is offered at competitive prices without compromising on quality. Iceland has a long aviation tradition which continues to play a major part in the country’s infrastructure. This has created a very favorable climate for airlines and flight schools, and the fees for acquiring and holding a licence are generally lower than other countries. Moreover, there are no landing fees, which combined with our very fuel-efficient aircraft, means that we can offer a very competitive price.

Prices listed in a foreign currency (other than Icelandic krona) are subject to rate of exchange. They are listed as a frame of reference in accordance with the Icelandic Central Banks central rate of exchange which varies daily. Further information regarding currency conversion can be found here

    Full price for the Integrated Professional Pilot Program at Iceland Aviation Academy: ISK 10.790.000

    We are approved for governmental student financial support in Iceland (LÍN), Denmark (SU) and Sweden (CSN).
     
    Included in the course price:
    • All necessary study materials
    • ATPL coursebooks from OAA - Oxford Aviation Academy
    • Access to the schools learning management system and OAA
    • All necessary supplies for theoretical learning (Plotter, flight navigation computer, Jeppesen journey logbook and more)
    • Shirt, tie and epaulettes
    • Theoretical tests according to the syllabus excluding the following.

    Not included in the course price:

    • Re-examination or test delay - see the schools price list
    • Examination fees for ICETRA theoretical examinations
    • Medical screening by an aviation doctor
    • Examination fees for ICETRA practical examinations
    • ICETRA application and licence fees.
  • Flight Instructor Certificate

    • FI - Flight Instructor (A)

      The price for the Flight Instructor course is ISK 1.250.000

    • IRI - Instrument Rating Instructor certificate

      The full price of the IRI course is ISK 435.000 for candidates not holding an FI licence.

      The price for holders of an FI(A) depends on previous experience, reducing the price to as low as ISK 220.000

    Above rates are for flight instruction and/or aircraft rental, note that all examination fees are paid directly to the examiner. The stated hours are minimum required hours, if more hours are needed this will be paid separately according to current rate list. If your licence is issued in another EASA member state than Iceland check for any local regulations, examiner requirements and time frames with your state of licence issue.
